Just read this article on ABCnews.com. Mike Huckabee-Finn, while speaking to the NRA, heard a sound off stage that reminded him of a gun shot and joked that "someone was pointing a gun at Obama". Now Obama and the media are making an issue out of it.
This story reminds me of the interview that Obama's wife had with 60 minutes in which she stated: " my husband could get shot just going to the gas station in this country".
Coincidentally enough, my college roommate's father - a white man - was shot and killed - by a black man - at a gas station when he was just a kid.
That comment by Michelle Obama and that fact that Barack is making an issue of Huckabee's passing comment in a speech to the NRA show me what a true racist the man and his wife are.
Racism is defined in many ways, one of which is: discrimination or prejudice based on race. In other words civil rights leaders have supposedly been fighting for years so that society won't consider race in making decisions. So that we'll live in a color blind society. So that black men will be treated equally the same as white men.
The only problem with Obama is: he seems to only get half of the civil right fight. The half that affords him benefits. He doesn't want the other half: the half that causes him problems. Because you see human rights are about more than just making more money, or holding powerful political positions. They also come with a tremendous responsibility - as all rights do - to not abuse those rights and exploit them to your benefit. ( also known in our falsely legislated equal society as: "pulling the race card" )
There also comes the ethically responsibility to accept all the bad things that come with being treated equally such as rejection, failure, disappointment, having to earn things, helping others to name a few. Equal civil rights does not mean the black man always gets the positive decision ( that's racism ), it also means that sometimes the black man will get the negative decision, someone will make an off color joke, someone won't help him when he's in need and he has to have the integrity and the character to accept it and recognise it has being treated equally and not blame in on racism.
To assume that just being white in this country means a person has no problems or leads a better life is racism. To imply that a black man can be shot simply by going to the gas station in this country is racism. To take offense to a joke is racism.
As socially sophisticated as this society would like to believe it is; as much as we'd like to think that we are no longer a sexist or racist society, it is still just as racist and sexist as it ever was. Because sexism and racism are human nature and you can't "legislate" human nature. You can only reverse it's affects but the true nature of the issue still exists.
So now the racism and sexism has been reversed through legislation: blacks and women get the positive decisions.
In fact we are so anxious to show the country and the rest of the world how much we've ethically and morally matured over the last 200 years; how socially and politically correct we are that we are going to elect a woman or a black man president whether they are qualified or not and if we have to be racist and sexist to do it!
This political season will set women's and civil rights back to the stone age. Hillary clinton is running on nothing more than the fact that she's slick Willy's wife and Obama on nothing more than he's black. Another Michelle Obama statement regarding her husbands candidacy for president: "it's his time". What does that even mean?
Electing a president using legislated rights is a huge mistake. It's a mistake becasue then the office is a fake; the candidate is a fake; and therefore the decisions made will be false. There are certainly more politically experienced women who could run for office but who are political unknowns and wouldn't stand a chance of winning. Certainly more politically experienced black men who are politically unknown but these two candidates are being used as figure heads for thier parties; that's all.
We've been reduced to using the office of president of the United States as a platform for political statements rather than an office to be held by an educated, dedicated person of character and courage who can do what we the people need our government to do.
I for one will not vote for Obama nor Clinton nor McCain and will therefore assume none of the blame for thier false decisions.
Long live the republic! For I fear it's collapsing and I've got a front row seat.

My First Blog Entry
Blogs have been around for a long time but I've never had any interest in reading about other people's sad, pathetic lives: "My life sucks", "Marriage sucks", "Parenthood isn't what I thought it would be", "My father didn't love me that's why I have 4 college degrees", "I'm an addict","Hillary for president", "blah blah blah". Excuse me while I go take a shit.
Here's a blog title for you: "Crawl out from under your rock" or "Stop whining" or Get a fucking life!"
I'm writing now only since I'm tired of news outlets like ABCnews.com censoring my posts.
I've got front row seats to a vaudeville show called American Society and I'd like to chronicle it as I watch it circle the drain and the circles get smaller and faster.
I'll discuss such topics as: politics, bullshit, religion, bullshit, government, bullshit, political correctness, bullshit, racism and sexism, bullshit, marriage and still more bullshit.
Ultimately, I hope my employer reads it so he can fire me and I can sue him in true American fashion for violating my rights to freedom of speech and get millions and retire to Florida.
So sit down and hold onto your hats; the show's about to begin...
